Altman indirectly criticized Musk for manipulating the social platform, stating that OpenAI focuses on product development.
On August 12, after Musk threatened legal action against Apple, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman retweeted the former's post on social media and stated: I heard someone accuse Musk of manipulating a certain social platform for personal and corporate gain, harming the interests of his competitors and those he dislikes. This accusation is shocking. I hope someone can conduct a counter-investigation into this; many of us want to know what really happened. But OpenAI will focus on creating outstanding products.
