Wu reported that the U.S. Department of Justice announced on August 14 that it has seized approximately $2.8 million in crypto assets, $70,000 in cash, and a luxury car based on six seizure warrants issued by a federal court. The assets are controlled by the defendant Ianis Aleksandrovich Antropenko. He is being prosecuted in the Northern District of Texas for allegedly using the Zeppelin Ransomware to attack multiple institutions worldwide and for Money Laundering.
